Branding & Design

“There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.”

– Milton Glaser

Branding & design are inseparable. Although a brand is not your logo, nor your company name by itself. It is the great paradox of design or visual experience you get when you first look at some product. If two or more people share that same gut feeling about a product, you have a brand. The most impact you can have on someones aforementioned “gut feeling” is trough design.

Exactly THIS, is why we, at Tag Labs, pay so much attention to design.

Although designing something is very art related thing, hence can be very subjective, and abstract, there are some exact rules to follow that can lead to a great end result.

Design, of a logo or a product, must get the essence of that product, or at least the message that needs to be sent trough that visual experience. It needs to be strategically planned, in advance. It can not be afterthought. You should never “overdesign” a product, the message and the essence of it must be presented in a simple yet understandable manner. That manner can be discussed in that strategic plan, concerning what is that message, what kind of an audience will be using the product etc…Last but not least, designs, of course, MUST be authentic and easily recognizable, we can not stress enough the importance of this.

All of this and many, many more, we at Tag Labs use as our guidelines when working on a design of a product, whether it is a website, logo or a complete brand. To achieve this technically we are skilled in standard design software packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Ilustrator, Corel DRAW etc…
